Big news for the CvCISO community. We’re making a change, and we think you’re going to like it.

The SecurityStudio Academy is moving under the FRSecure umbrella.

This is a deliberate move to give the CvCISO program—and everyone in it—a better foundation for growth. Here’s what that means in plain terms:

More students. FRSecure’s reach is significant. The CISSP Mentor Program has brought over 100,000 people access to free, high-quality cybersecurity education in 130+ countries. We’re pointing that same energy at CvCISO now.
Better content. FRSecure has a deep, talented team. Moving the Academy under that umbrella means more hands building more course offerings—built the way they should be built.
A bigger community. The CvCISO designation needs more people to know it exists. This move gets it there faster.

On the personnel side: Dave Tuckman, who has been leading the SecurityStudio Academy as Executive Director, will step into the interim role of Executive Director of the FRSecure Academy. I’ll be taking on the interim Executive Director role at the SecurityStudio Academy during the transition. Dave and I will be working closely together to make sure this goes smoothly—and Dave’s also taking on some additional responsibilities at FRSecure. Dave’s earned it.

The CvCISO community has always been built on the idea that virtual and fractional CISOs deserve a real professional community—peer connections, knowledge sharing, and real leadership development. That doesn’t change. What changes is our ability to reach more people, train them better, and build something that lasts.

If you have questions, ask them. We’re not going anywhere—we’re just getting bigger.

More to come,
-Evan and Dave
